They say it's a business about who and what you know, and I intend to know it all. I'm looking to break into the world of entertainment, mainly behind the camera, but I'm looking for any chance to experience something new. I'm committed to doing anything to reach my goal, and once I set myself to it, there's no stopping me.

What do you like most about your job? (05/22/2007)
The first time I considered exploring the entertainment industry as a profession, I was in the sixth grade. We had just finished a unit on To Kill a Mockingbird and I remember the discussion that followed was about the director's decision to make the film black and white versus keeping it color, and how that affected the tone of the film. I was totally blown away by the idea of making a film in black and white, just to make the audience feel a specific way. It was in that realization that I knew I wanted to be a story teller. It only later, when I invested some money and time into a computer, that my passions turned toward video editing and production. For the last few years, these have been the most exciting things in my life. To be able to create such productions has been a joy; one I hope to be further involved.
What are your strengths? Weaknesses? (05/22/2007)
I've always been a practical person. My strengths lie in practical areas. I'm a problem solver, but at the same time, I pull on some creative experimentation. My only problem is trusting my creative impulses. I was raised in such a manner that practicality became most important, but I've been working on developing my creative side as well. My work with video and audio creation/editing has led me toward where I am, and have slowly been fueling my creative side.
What are you most passionate about? (05/22/2007)
I've loved the experience of working on group projects. Working in theatre and in the broadcasting department has made me realize how much I love working on large projects with people. I love the give and take, the compromise, and the eventual amalgamation of every one's ideas and design. The only problem arises when all these ideas are left raw and unprocessed; when the group is missing a unified goal. Such projects require leadership, someone who can pull together the efforts of the group in a timely manner, as well as deem an ideal as good or poor.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? (05/22/2007)
When I think about my life five years from now, I think that I'll be on my way up, but still working toward a leadership position. I'll have been out of Full Sail for three years, and I'll be working in the industry, maybe as Best Boy or some other production-centric position. I hope to be on set all day and in a position where I can voice some of my opinions and be appreciated for them. It'd be hard work, but that's what I thrive on. In the end, I want to be proving that I have more to bring to the table than just brute labor, but that I can do my job without complaints.
Why did you choose this career? (05/22/2007)
Entertainment has always been a cornerstone of my youth. I grew up acting and I've moved on, into technical support. The goal I have, of creating stories for the benefit of the entertained, has always been who I am.
